This song I wrote just after COVID lockdown really began to kick in around March of 2020. The future was so dim at that point and my livelihood of touring and playing live was shutdown. I seriously haven't played live with Michael McDonald since then what with him back touring with The Doobie Brothers.
But positive things came from that period. I wrote and recorded more than I'd ever done which is really what I love about music. And being here as I watch my family grow. I wouldn't trade that for anything!
But on that day in March 2020 I was feeling a bit down and wrote this song. It actually came out sort of positive I think.
