My longtime friend Peter Penhallow sent my a piano track with the music chord progression for this song. I liked the melancholy feel and r&b jazzy chords and it inspired me to write the lyrics and melody and build a track around it.
This song led to Peter and I recording what would be 2 albums together as JOSEPH COURT during COVID lockdown; writing and recording everything remotely over the internet. This song also appears on our first of those two albums,
AFFAIR OF THE HEART.
